Investment Opportunities and Economic Reforms in India:

India has seen a startling increase in foreign direct investment over the past few years and the major driving force of this increased investment is its population which houses the youngest population in the world. Make in India campaign to transform India into manufacturing hub which is seen in automobiles, pharma, ports, textile, renewables, railways, mining’s etc.

The government has charted out the infrastructure investments of $1.4 trillion between 2019-2025 which includes creating smart cities, high class airports, and railway corridors.

Few of the India’s initiatives towards digitalization are:

Giant Trinity which includes-

Jan Dhan Yojana- wherein over 375 million bank accounts were opened, wherein the objective was to connect each and every household to a bank account

Aadhaar enrolments: The bank accounts opened lend to trace 1.25 billion unique users

Mobile phones: and increased mobile phone subscribers

Indo German initiative; various bilateral initiatives were taken

Indo- German fast track mechanism was set up where in any issue which a German company is facing in India would be resolved in a swift way.
