About Speaker:
D. Arun Kumar is the Managing Director and board member of Leister Technologies India Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of leister AG, a Swiss company and a market leader in plastic welding technologies. D. Arun Kumar set up Leister India in 2012 and took its growth to 9 cities doubling its turnover every three years. He has over 26 years of work experience and has worked in companies like Crompton Greaves where he started off as a Service Engineer and then moved onto Sales of Industrial Motors, TVS Electronics where he headed their Online Auctions business, SRF Ltd – Regional Manager Sales and SIFY – head of Customer Retention. He has been at the forefront of handling customers directly for most of his career and this has helped him tremendously in getting market insights that were instrumental in developing successful strategies. Arun holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical and electronic engineering from PSG college of technology, Coimbatore and an MBA from Loyola Institute of Business Administration. He is an avid sports lover having played basketball, Cricket and Athletics at the state level. He is married to Archana who is the executive director of United Way Chennai. He has two sons Anirudh and Advaith.
